Exhibition of Artworks by the late Gilda Baron

Gilda was born in the East End of London, and had a life-long interest in art and fashion. She was a well respected teacher, as well as a skilled and imaginative artist who, over the years, developed a unique style, using vibrant colours and a variety of techniques. These included batik, felting, machine and hand embroidery. Gilda exhibited her work throughout the UK and abroad. She had many articles published in British and foreign magazines. Gilda’s book “The Art of Embroidered Flowers” was a best-seller and has been translated into Russian and Norwegian. She also produced 2 DVD’s, showing her techniques and artistic skills. She continued to exhibit, sell, give talks and run workshops until shortly before her death in August 2015.
