Deb Jones

My batik studio is located just west of Cincinnati in Okeana, Ohio. 

I work from photos, sketches and color plans to transform the light and space of a familiar place or object through the unique and complex batik process. I am intrigued by the dichotomy of the need to plan colors sometimes 10 steps ahead, and the spontaneity of what is revealed when the final wax is removed.
